Explosion

The 450 A class literally explodes out of the starting gate at the 30th annual Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals yesterday. What a glorious noise, fourty-four four-strokers unleashed at the same time. Sam and I just walked around grinning and soaking up the atmosphere that is just being somewhere that racing is going on.

On a far more suck-ass motorcycling note, R.I.P. Gary Nixon . According to SOUP he passed away yesterday in Baltimore at age seventy due to a heart attack. An iconic racer and personality, he will be sorely missed. My absolute favorite picture of Gary Nixon is here . Godspeed Gary.....

Man I wish I could have went and hung out with you and Sam. I had a great time last year and I'm sure this year would be just as fun. Not as much mud this time I bet.
