Skatetruck On The Road.....

Well, allrighty then. Headed to Florida in the early Wednesday A.M. for some motorbike racing and some trials. The crew from B&J Racing is laying out the AHRMA National again, and no doubt we're making poor trials riders from several continents sweat, even as we speak. Hell, the Old Fart from Mosley England is flying in and the Guru is loaning him his Famous James Mick Andrews Replica mochine. I can't wait and a good time is surely gonna' be had by all.......

On a completely different note. According to the Meriam-Webster Online Dictionary an oxymoron is a combination of contradictory or incongruous words such as "cruel-kindness". Or maybe "civil-war". Which of course the Iraqi's are not involved in, according to our higher ups..........DOH!

Talk soon......

Demolition Derby Ferrari

I don't know if you've heard about THIS idiot bastard or not, the guy that crashed the million dollar, one of four-hundred ever produced, Enzo model Ferrari's on the Pacific Coast Highway......

But he fabricated one of the oldest crash stories known to man. "I wasn't driving. My friend was, and he ran off into the canyons."

Yeah, right........

Here are some pics of the debris field HERE .....

Today's Victim

Today's Victim is this pretty little MX125 Yamaha. We just put a top end on it and it's ready for some vintage moto-cross. We'll probably see the Ginderflopper race this puppy later on this season.....

Goofy link for the day is HERE .Man, I hate to give away my position..........

Artsy-Fartsy

The pitcherlady has created a monster. I love this Photoshop shit! You can take a junk picture and make it even junkier........

You can stretch it, you can shrink it, you can change all the colors. You can remove all the colors and make it black and white. You can brighten it and add constrast. You can sharpen it, you can unsharp it. You can use things like artistic brush-stroke (whatever in hell that is) to make it look like a watercolor painting. Or a pencil drawing.

You can sit and waste time on a single picture like I'd never ever have believed! Too cool. Just another excuse to drink a beer.

This is the last artsy-fartsy snow picture, I promise....... At least until it snows again........

Mennonite Mike Sighting

Mennonite Mike, he of the Mennonite Motorsports fame ("Back in Black" is their slogan) put in an appearance at the ranch the other day. It was good to see ye bearded one. Here he tames a tough new section of real-estate.

For those readers interested in the purchase of a different kind of transportation we'd like to direct you HERE .......better warm up that Swiss bank account. Thanks to Peter De for the heads up.

More Scorpa Tracks

More Tracks.....

Scorpa tracks this time. This little four-stroke wonder is a traction machine. The Guru was cleaning sections in the snow that he had no business getting through and he was putting all the praise on the bike.

It's really too bad that everyone's ego gets in the way and they think they have to have the big two-stroke monsters when this Scorpa would make them a helluva lot better rider, and they'd drop half their points totals over the day. Ah well.......

Tracks in the Snow

Suzuki tracks crossing deer tracks. It was another pretty day in the woods on Saturday with the white stuff. The animals were on the move though as there were deer tracks and ground scuff all over. We also saw turkey tracks and rabbit prints and a few others we couldn't identify.

Bob also tracked up the Nubbie Section with the Scorpa and cleaned it in the snow. Cool!

The Ginderflopper

Best trials nickname, maybe ever.

There's this guy named Tommy. He's a nice guy, funny guy, always something to say. He's an ex stock-car driver who manages a locally owned garage that the Crew at B&J trust our cages with. He has no earthly idea the first thing about trials, I am sure. Not the first damn thing.

He calls Bob "The Ginderflopper". Is that too perfect, or what? I actually think it started as the result of some sort of manly locker-room banter, you know, nudge-nudge, a nod's as good as a wink to a blind man.

Well, here we see the Ginderflopper post flop. In the Nubbie Section. From my Suzuki. Remember how I told you a couple weeks ago that it would now turn and go where you point it? Well, it does and it did. It hooked up and squirmed right up a bank and deposited the Guru over the bars. I was unlucky enough to take this picture with his digital camera so a certain amount of espionage was critical to this operation in bringing this evidence to light. I'd like to Thank my co-conspirators (you know who you are).

Hillclimbing

Image hosting by Photobucket
Yep, this is just as damn steep as it looks. I climbed it once. Once.

Bob said, "I'll show you an easy line up it." Yeah, right. And going down was no darned picnic in the garden for me either!

The Guru was doing some testing on the Scorpa (we did some carb mods) and he just kept banging this hillclimb. It's the Parsley hillclimb from the last ITSA Trials at the end of the creek. I think he climbed it in every gear except fifth. It was making him giggle like a school kid. Er, of course we do that all the time, so I guess that's not really such a big deal.....

A bunch of riding's been going on lately, as we're getting ready to go South in a couple weeks for the AHRMA portion of Bike Week. B&J Racing is again puttting on the AHRMA National Trials down there.

Motorbike Pics

Image hosting by Photobucket
The pitcherlady is always asking me, "Is that the only picture you can take, a picture of your motorcycle?"

I guess the answer is yes, damnit I can't help it........the camera and my creativity (or lack thereof) always seem to gravitate toward taking a picture of whatever motorbikes are involved in the ride of the day. Whether it's mine or someone else's motorbike. Although I really like taking a pic of my motorbikes.....

Happy Valentines Day!

MAJESTY

Image hosting by Photobucket
No, not the Queen.

In our first pic we see proud papa Trevor the K leaning on his MAJESTY Yamaha 250, which he has turned out gorgesously, or however in hell you spell that.....Ignore the Rothman's Honda team overalls, a leftover from his days in the '80's on the works Honda team in England that included Steve Saunders and World Trials Champion Eddy Lejeune.

MAJESTY, for the uninitiate, stands for Mick Andrews, John E. Shirts, and TY Yamaha. MAJESTY. Mick Andrews being the blonde goofball English trials champion and frame designer, John E. Shirts the builder, and TY Yamaha being, well, the TY Yamaha that was cannibalised for all the other bits to throw at the MAJESTY frame. Ain't too many of the MAJESTY's around.....

This particular MAJESTY used to be owned by the Guru until Trevor talked him out of it in early 2005. We built him a killer engine and pair of custom Falcon shocks, electronic ignition, carb, and he did all the cosmetics and came up with the sweet machine you see here. Seems almost a shame to take it out and get it all muddy.

Speaking of getting it muddy, here in pic number two we see the Guru putting the MAJESTY through some paces, although I didn't get a pic of him mucking up a particularly nasty hillclimb that had Trevor quite wound up and worried about his cosmetics (especially the tank) being mangled on the down-tumble. However, all was good and the bike was unscathed, at least for today......

The Nubbie Section

Image hosting by Photobucket
Dudes and Dudettes, if you think the last couple corners of "The Nubbie Memorial Section" were rough during the ITSA Trials this past '05 season you shoulda' rode them yesterday. Who-wee! Can you say traction control? Well, I can say it, I just wish I could do it.........more to come

Bird in the Bush

Quote of the Month is from an obviously deep and intellectual Shania Twain as reported in the March 2006 issue of BLENDER magazine.....

"I don't want my body to be a distraction from my talent or my brain."

Uh. Yeah, right.

Also, for those of you that get sick and damned tired of folks sending you an e-mail of some sort that tells you to forward it to ten people or risk certain hazards or bad Ju-Ju then there's THIS . Thanks to the Captain for the link.

Rock on y'all.
